Almost out of candy! I want to go to mom's and see how her pumpkin looks. Later, later.

So fun! I'm trying to spook the kids with spiders but they think it's lame. I find it hilarious. Like when Steph's mom used to try to scare kids by putting a vacuum cleaner under her stuffed scarecrow guy on the porch and then plugging it in when they got up to the door. omg I'm turning into my best friends mom!

verrriiii nice! and dude... you could pull off the scary spider thing if you didn't look all pretty and good, you know? they're like "yeah right!" haha so... do a dark winged demon next year and THEN maybe you can get a rise out of them.

one year i had this place with my hubby and i put on overalls with a red checkered shirt, smeared lipstick haphazardly across my face, turned off the light and, when the kids would come up Reid (hubby) would play this cd with screams and eerie sounds on it and I would answer the door with a drawl and a REALLY insane manic energy. Those poor kids took the candy but. just. didn't. get. the. humor. I, however, laughed for weeks and even months over it

That is so funny - would have died laughing if I'd seen you! I am still laughing at the spider thing and the unamused looks the kids gave me. So adorable.

see... this is why adult parties are so cool. this kinda humor just freaks the filthies out because they are trained to be skeptical of strangers but then, once a year, they're allowed to walk up to ANYONES door and ring and ask for shit. it's kinda weird if you think about it. that and the fact that most people don't dress up but just hover over the bowl teasing with the candy as they go "oh how cute are you and you and you" THEN give up the goods.

i remember that i HATED the people who would do the "trick" part cuz they all sucked and so did the treats you got for witnessing their idea of a "trick". lol
