It's funny, I thought it was going to be horrible to walk in but it wasn't that bad. I hate and am terrible at wearing heels so it didn't seem much different to me, but my calves did have to work a lot. There was some arch support, but I had to have at least half my weight on the balls of my feet or I'd just fall over backwards. I have strong legs from skating through so it wasn't too bad.
