Lewis' woodpecker

There were Lewis' woodpeckers on my hike at Crawford Oaks (along with Osprey, ravens, flickers, and meadowlarks among other birds), this was a new bird for me, I love their glossy black feathers and nifty grey ruff and red stained breast and all the different pretty little sounds they make.

is this life, just admiring and appreciating with wonder for as long as we can?
