Background soundtrack to my work this morning. My work is slow and difficult today but that's okay.

sparkle friend.
Mar. 7th, 2022 10:35 pmmy friend Kara, who I went to sparkle on Tuesday evening last week, updated her blog that she's been writing for 3+ years about living with stage 4 metastasized colo-rectal cancer, tonight, and it's not the first one that has made me tear up, but this time with tears of hope?
She has fought so hard for so long and been through so much. I watched one friend succumb to this disease, and two other friends fight it off but not without significant loss of quality of life. Kara has a colostomy bag and will never be the same, but this experimental trial she's in seems to be maybe possibly getting rid of her cancer? Her tumors have shrunk in all areas and continue to do so. she's been feeling better. it's wild. i really, really hope this continues to go well for her.
she was accepted as patient 199 in a trial of 200. !
so grateful.
