baby steps toward fulfillment
Mar. 2nd, 2024 06:14 pmFinally, finally updated the website, which I've been commenting about needing to update since probably before January. So excited to have that done. Sent out an email push, too - I need to remember to unsubscribe from the "free trial" to have the permission to email my own customers, so annoying - I'll do it manually next time instead of paying anything. Since I only do this maybe 2x per year, it makes no sense to pay a steep monthly subscription fee for the privilege. It charges nearly $200 without the subscription, for one email to everyone, because I have over a thousand "customers" - the thing is, only a few of them are active and will see it and respond - last time the click-through count was 16% which is about right and still was a lovely boost for me, but yeesh. Why do they even charge at all for the work I do to promote my site's business, which they benefit from in the form of fees on every transaction? It's so expensive to do business.
I guess I felt guilty about sitting at home sick and canceling work, so I found another form of work to do. I sent out some orders today as well, but I'm staying out of the rain/snow/hail mixture otherwise. Might make some (sugarless) cocoa, now that it's past 6pm and I'm done for the evening.
Bleh being sick but omg this life is beautiful, and I'm making progress, day by day.
aerodrome1 reminded me of Roxy Music, maybe it's a night for Lost in Translation?
