(in a lot of emotional pain and some physical discomfort. being 49 is really hard. aging is like watching your own body slowly rot, it's like a very slow crawling horror movie. trying to push through.)

* found the most amazing skeleton hoodie at Spirit Halloween, they had ONE left and I snagged it. It is cotton/polyester blended so not super cheap like most costume material, it's a real hoodie, I got a discount so it was only $30 (most high quality hoodies are $50), it's long, the arms are long enough, and the pockets are HUGE and DEEP. I would have gotten two if they had them, but I feel so lucky to have snagged one. Cynthia wants us all to be skeletons for her birthday/Halloween and I didn't want him to have to wear a onesie, I know he dislikes that sort of thing, this will be much better/easier. I did get him leggings to go with, and we have gloves, hopefully that will appease Cynthia enough.

* Got to see Transformers 1 with Ragnar yesterday, and I actually really enjoyed it! I am in love with Ragnar so seeing him was the best part, but I was surprisingly delighted with the movie too. It was a kids movie and pretty silly, but I was obsessed with Transformers in the 80s, I had Soundwave and Ravage and Jetfire (or maybe Sideswipe?), I was pretty into it. In this movie, they had Optimus Prime and Megatron and Starscream and such, and some of the other characters were good takes on the originals, with similar voices and personalities. I loved it. Bumblebee wasn't a VW Beetle anymore but I understand why, lol.

It was a private screening, I kept joking, we were the only ones in the theatre, it was pretty great. Ragnar used the opportunity to run up and down the isles in various interpretive dances, it was pretty great.

We had popcorn and played some video games after, it was pretty fun.

* Also got to do silks and ride my bike up Rocky Butte yesterday, with Halloween shopping in-between. Rocky Butte was terrifying in afternoon traffic but whatever, I needed it.

* Also got a Harvest latte on Monday at Nossa Familia in Ladds, theirs is by far my favorite take on Pumpkin Spice and it was just as good as last time. Bonus organic fair trade shade grown bird friendly small farm coffee.

* Also got more stripy socks at Spirit. Because I can never have too many stripy socks.

* I can go hiking today if I want to. Trying to decide between a drizzly Dog or some other small mountain.

* October has been so beautiful. And we still have 22 days left of it to go.
