I had been riding my bike to work for about three and a half years at the time we went into lockdown. It's not a hard or long ride (3 miles), but the outbound trip is uphill -- mostly gentle, one steeper bit approaching a bridge -- and it took some time to work up to doing it in reasonable gears, especially the bridge part. (Which, like with the pushups, I hit a plateau and just couldn't seem to do it any faster; meanwhile, dudes in spandex with glutes and thighs like rocks who clearly bike for hours a day are breezing uphill past me at some speed... but I digress.) For a while last spring I was making occasional nods to still riding even if I was going nowhere in particular, but that collapsed. Now I'll probably have to start over again and try not to hurt myself in the process. :-/
