We absolutely deserve 2.5 years back. They totally don't count.
Just last week it was one of my friend's birthdays and facebook was showing me their picture and one of their friends I didn't know posted a photo and it said like "Great birthday dinner -- happy 47th" and I laughed at first -- thinking someone was making a joke. Then it hit me. We're just that age now. (It's still almost funny though.)
