Someone complimented my sparkly sweater in the elevator this morning and it slowly brought back this memory of when I was sixteen, and the Ice Capades scouts came through town and chose six of us from the rink, their top six favorite skaters, to participate in a day long show-skating seminar. I went shopping at the Goodwill and found a soft, sparkly black sweater to wear for the seminar, and got so many compliments on that little $6 sweater, surrounded by rich girls in designer brand names. Maybe this is where my passion for thrift store shopping began.

The dress I wore for the test session the week before last was a $12 thrift store dress. (Shown in icon.) Everyone fawns all over it when I wear it.

My head hurts. My hip hurts. My stomach hurts. I feel like I can't breathe. I want to go home. Instead I will go get some coffee.
