May. 1st, 2012 02:53 pmCholesterol results from my blood test two weeks ago:
Your Total Cholesterol of 177 is DESIRABLE
Your LDL of 88 is OPTIMAL
Your HDL of 73 is OPTIMAL
Your Triglyceride level of 80 is NORMAL
RATIOS:
Your Total Cholesterol/HDL ratio is: 2.42 - (preferably under 5.0, ideally under 3.5) IDEAL
Your HDL/LDL ratio is: 0.830 - (preferably over 0.3, ideally over 0.4) IDEAL
Your triglycerides/HDL ratio is: 1.096 - (preferably under 4, ideally under 2) IDEAL
The HDL/LDL ratio is arguably the most important for heart health, and the higher it is, the better. Mine is through the roof!
Basically my cholesterol levels are super awesome.
(When I lived in LA, at age 24, I had high/bad cholesterol. I was also a cocktail waitress, highly active but living on bar food, booze, and thai food.)
