French Kissing Ups Risk of Oral HPV Infection

”…mouth HPV infections… are silent 'yet may lead to oral cancer 10 to 20 years later.'”

Promiscuity promotes disease. Real, lethal disease. (See Adam Yauch/MCA’s death from oral cancer.)

This is why I haven’t kissed anyone in 4 years. Why even when I was seeing someone briefly last summer, I never kissed him, or did anything to put my health at risk.

This is why I have no interest in your ex when he dances with me at the club.

Yes, I care how many partners you've had. Yes, it matters. If you are careless with your own health, I know for certain you’ll be careless with mine.

I’d rather be alone than die of cancer because you can’t control yourself around careless women.

I’d rather wait for someone who values my health and well-being, and his own.

4 years is not long, in comparison to death on a cancer bed in my 40s or 50s.

This is easy. It’s a simple choice. To live healthfully. To care for myself. And protect myself. Since, clearly, nobody else is going to. Unless I demand it. Unless I maintain reasonable standards.

I deserve someone who is considerate and careful and selective with his love, and his expressions of love, as I am.

Men are actually capable of this. I have witnessed it. I have loved such men. Deeply and truly.

They are the only ones that were worth loving.

There is so much more to life than indulging in careless, meaningless, cancer-promoting kissing and unprotected oral sex.

It’s not that hard to find other things to enjoy.
