the Inflammation Spectrum.
Mar. 23rd, 2022 10:34 amEvery bite of food you eat is either feeding health, or fighting it. Every meal is an opportunity to nourish health, or erode it. To move you further along the spectrum to increase inflammation, or calming inflammation, and improving your symptoms and overall health.
Before I started eating an anti-inflammatory diet, I was in a crippling amount of pain.
When I finally cut out most grains (I allowed weekly Taco Tuesdays and occasional oatmeal) my pain vanished. Not decreased, it was gone. I still had occasional cheats like chocolate or a biscuit, but those were like, maybe once or twice a month, instead of once or twice a week (or day).
My diet as slipped in recent months, and my pain has increased substantially.
Coincidence?
Am I just getting older?
Or can I manage this with doubling down on my efforts to increase leafy greens and root vegetables and to taper down my cookies, biscuits, popcorn, and chocolate?
I'm hoping to gather the discipline to improve my eating habits.
It's so much more pleasant to be lighter and not in a ton of pain all the time.
It's a lot of time and energy dedicated toward feeding, which can be very difficult. I very much want to just eat what I want.
But I want to try again. I think I can do better and still eat what I want, sometimes.
I just want to feel better.
