doctor visit day.
Aug. 26th, 2024 09:47 amI've been super stressed out about my doctor's visit today, for about the last 48 hours. Pretty much nonfunctional paralysis. I hate getting my lady parts examined and I hate conventional medicine, but I don't feel like I have a choice right now.
Anyway, symptoms I need to write down and bring with me in my shaking hands when I arrive:
* brain fog - severe. For example, just now, I went to put my contacts in, took out the contact lens case, opened it, saw the contacts inside, set it down, and proceeded to try to remove the contacts from my eyes. And got confused when nothing came out. And then realized what had happened. This kind of thing happens daily and makes me feel insane.
* depression - severe. In general, no real sense of any reason to live. At times, I have slept for 12 hours several nights per week. Struggle to resist comfort eating. Frequently tearful. Lately very withdrawn from friends, avoiding those whom I normally adore and bend over backwards to spend time with, turning down social invites regularly and not reaching out. (I have chosen to become estranged from my toxic family of origin, but my relationship with my spouse is excellent.)
* tinnitus - severe. Inhibits initial sleep and naps, at times. Came on very suddenly, but for over a year I had the following sensations beforehand, now these are gone: the sound of my pulse in my ears, sometimes so loudly it would keep me awake when trying to go to sleep at night, I only experienced this when lying down; a hollow sound/sensation in my skull when my teeth would hit, as if my teeth or skull were empty and echoey, a very scary sensation that lasted on and off for about a year, and is no longer noticeable since the tinnitus began in May.
* foot pain - severe. Inhibits skating, running, hiking, rock climbing, long walks, and lessens other activities such as dance, biking, and walking with friends. Since May, but the pain was low level for 1.6 years beforehand.
* back pain - mild. Injury from 1 year ago that has not healed. I had to quit rock climbing as I am not comfortable in the harness or being lowered in a harness from the rock wall/climbs. I had to truncate my circus training to keep from irritating it. I cannot lie in certain positions or sit for long periods.
* bleeding - intermittent. Unusually long periods. This happened in May and June but has lessened since I began progesterone supplements.
* sleep disturbance. Nightly waking, 3am.
* headaches - frequent, at least weekly, sometimes severe, maybe 2-3x per month, migraines returning with more regularity, have had 3 this year, as opposed to 1 per year from 2018-2023.
* skin - dry and scaly, easily broken, skin tags. hair also dry and brittle.
* what is this patch of dry skin on my foot about.
I think that's about it?
Things to note: No drugs, no alcohol since January 2023, no pharmaceuticals, no processed food, no refined sugar, no refined grains except as a treat perhaps once per month or less, high fiber fruit and vegetable diet (cruciferous, roots, micro greens, avocado, sprouted nuts and hemp/chia seeds) high protein unsweetened sheep yogurt, with carefully sourced meat and eggs, sweet potatoes, beans/lentils, herbs and spices such as rosemary, turmeric, cinnamon. grass fed butter for healthy fats. regular caffeine intake, high physical activity, attempt at high outdoor activity (this has been truncated since foot injury). Supplementing vitamin D and iron.
Bring Femmepro maca supplement and progesterone supplement to show what I am currently taking.
Bring print-out of last 2 lab test results.
Ask for: estrogen patch, estrogen (face) cream, higher dose of progesterone if needed.
Please help. Can I just take it for a month and see how I feel, please.
