erf, cortisol shot, taking a breath here. Just got my second quote for installing central a/c - it's less than I was dreading which is nice. I still have a couple more to get. It's pretty close to what I was expecting but I have never done this before and it's just scary when so many dollars are involved.

so proud of Avalanche, she is figuring out how to use the cat door on her own, after a few lessons and lots of encouragement. while I was upstairs, she let herself out on her own AND she dragged her toy back in through the door from outside and then meowed really proudly about it when she came back in. This is her first time coming in on her own through the cat door (she has been going out the last few days but then meowing at the sliding door asking to be let back in), and I love that she brought her toy with her to do it. Yay! We have over a week of nice weather in the forecast so she can continue to get more practice, it's nicer for her when it's not raining.

Josh is offering to help with the cost of a/c even though I promised I would pay for it when we bought the house (he didn't want to buy the house initially because of this issue, so I insisted I would buy it for us before spring).

It'll help with re-selling if that ever becomes a thing.

Sun came out. Need to get dressed and go get some work done, I think I'll go into town so I can have a comfier cafe to work in and get some groceries at the coop and my preferred grocery store on the east side.

My mood has settled back down into slightly cloudy again and my back is complaining, but I had a really lovely session on silks yesterday and am feeling hopeful and less gloomy overall. Last night was rough, I crashed at like 7pm, but that's okay, today is a new day.

Josh sent a photo of the new cat door to our realtor, he didn't mention this to me when he did it, so we got an email from Dakota yesterday - so sweet.

Josh wants some sort of bell on the cat door so we know when Avalanche goes in and out. I remember back in the old-school twitter days, Pepito the cat had a feed set up where there was a camera and it would tweet every time he entered and existed, so in my feed would be these random photos of a black and white cat body halfway through a door, either face or tail, saying, "Pepito is out!" or "Pepito is in!" :) I loved it. Maybe we need that for her.
