I'm *still* sick. I've done two rounds of anti-biotics, both of which seemed to almost get rid of the snot and burning eyes, but as soon as they were gone the swollen sore throat and sandpaper eyelids and glued-shut morning gunked eyes all came back in full force. It's painful and miserable and exhausting. But I'm just well enough that I can keep working, so I can't really get the proper rest I need to get better.

There are at least 5 people at my workplace who are still slightly sick a month after getting the flu, and several of my friends/acquaintances and people who work at the cafes/bars I frequent are reporting the same thing: low-level still-sickness. Including Chris, who NEVER gets sick.

Why isn't this like, on the news or something? I haven't ever seen this kind of ubiquitous illness so rampant and lingering so long. I don't even know that many people. How many more are experiencing this?

Maybe a new version of bird flu is being tested on us.

We're all gunna die. :(

i'm having some lingering gunk, but i think it's actually mild allergy response rather than anything viral hanging on. my lungs are still a bit compromised from the pneumonia, though, so i still get wheezy when i laugh or cry.
