watching the Mandalorian (my viewing buddy moved on without me eventually, we were going to pause until we could see each other again but covid is not allowing that, and he lost patience before i did) is reminding me of how all my life i've been attracted to avoidants. i fell into an infatuation with a Mandalorian in a free form role playing chatroom back in college (on aol, that's how old i am). back then they didn't call them that, but this person wore the same type of armor as Boba Fett, and they behaved in the same distanced, composed, quiet, no-helmet-removing fashion. (they turned out to be a she, i found out later. it didn't matter.)
