Poor Willowbillow just got up, peed, drank some water, and in the middle of having a bite for dinner suddenly yacked all over the rug. It clearly surprised her. She never throws up right by her food dish.

She did so great last night. Her last two injections have gone flawlessly without any vomit afterward.

I never find random puke when I get home from work or anything. These sudden barfy spells seem only to happen when I'm around.

I wonder if Radiohead makes her ill? :( *turns off musics*

Sometimes even perfectly healthy cats puke out of nowhere, so I'm not panicking (like I used to every time this happened). Just keeping a keener eye.

Maybe I won't go see Maria Bamford after work tomorrow. (It would mean getting home late and immediately doing an injection without any Willow loves first. But, Maria Bamford is damn funny, and I've never seen a comedy show before. Hrm.)

Okay she's eating again. Maybe it will go better this time. *crosses fingers*

Oh, the glamorous life of being a kittymama. :)

My previous kitty used to yack randomly. They just do that. Puppies even more so.

Now that I think about it, Nev is not immune to the sudden barf-attack either. and he's a sprightly young thing of but four years.

Yeah, my mom's cat Max pukes like once a week on average. Depends on the cat. Willow never used to, but it's understandable, given her condition. And even being sick it only happens like once every couple months or less. She was totally fine afterward - just too much water and food all at once I think.

my cats puke all over the place, usually to tell me they're hungry. it's really gross. well, mostly Loki and Nibbies do it, expecially Loki. he has a method and everything! when he gets hungry he'll go drink lots of water (or eat a random plant leaf) and then puke in the spot i'm most likely to step in when i'm half asleep in the morning. gah. cats! sometimes i wonder why we even domesticated them!

Awwww, hehehehe that's gross but kind of funny. Ucky stuff to step in! I've never had cats who do the deliberate-puke thing, but I have heard of it happening. Silly kitties.

She seemed totally fine after her random barf attack. Just got a little over excited to have me home I think. :)

I don't know anything at all about the sort of meds she is on, but I do know that some of my meds in the past have made me sensitive to audio stimulation. And I once vomited because of it. Chances Willow is in the same situation? Low. But I guess it's possible.

It's an interesting thought. She's not actually taking any medication per se. Her injections are fluids with electrolytes and other nice things to help hydrate her and ease her upset tummy that she gets from her condition, which is chronic renal (kidney) failure. It replaces things she loses through her kidneys, and helps flush out the things that get concentrated in her system, as well.

But it does seem like sometimes music coming from my computer is unsettling to her. I can't tell by any physical behavior (other than random puking, which doesn't always coincide with music playing), but I just get a sense sometimes that it's unsettling to her. Hmmmm.
