Ugh. 1:30am Willow had toxic waste puke out in the hallway. Half a roll of paper towels later, I think I've cleaned as much of it as will come up. It's so gross. It smells like liquid shit that's been marinating in puke.
She's been constipated for 3 nights now, the poor thing. This happens when her stomach is upset.
I'm starting to fear that whatever the cause of the toxic waste type puke isn't related to her kidneys, and that whatever it is might kill her before her kidney disease does. Although she acts totally fine once she's puked.
Her kidney values haven't changed at all since October. So why this new development? I guess over time her stomach could have developed ulcers that cause her to puke more often, but why this nasty blackish green shit-smelling stuff?
She threw up two days ago randomly in the middle of the day, but it was just the normal cat-food type puke. This stuff scares me so much more than that, even though Willow doesn't seem adversely affected by it.
The vet said the next thing she would recommend is an x-ray, to make sure there aren't any obvious tumors or cancerous growths in her intestinal tract.
But none of the vets or any online research has had anything to say about this particularly awful puke smell/consistency.
Maybe tomorrow I'll research it in humans again. Last I looked it talked about blockages in the intestines. The vets have felt around her belly twice now since October and found nothing, but maybe it's something that can't be felt by touch.
So tired. Was so looking forward to a rested, early morning start to my Friday.
