I loathe and despise Valentine's Day. It's not even anti-commercialism, it's all about how I'm bitter and twisted and single.

It pisses me off because even though we all know it's over-commercialized or whateverthefuck, I *still* can't help but remember them - with painful clarity. Some have been ok, some have been not so good. I don't want another not so good one. eeep.

I've never celebrated it, even when I was with someone. The closest I ever got was with my first serious boyfriend when I was sixteen: he gave me a dollar to buy a coke after school. And that actually had nothing to do with Valentine's Day, I just thought it was funny.

We were both severe addicts. Except I preferred Diet, he liked regular. Now I don't touch the stuff, except in emergencies.
