Sister Midnight
Jul. 28th, 2007 03:36 pmTaking lunch in the cold, cold office, after a warm walk to Backspace to fetch a delicious nearly-vegan sandwich (tofutti herbed cream cheese, humus, avacado, tomatoes, red onions and mixed greens on paesano) and a soy latte to warm up a bit. The sun is helping.
Had to mention that I got to dance with the beautiful Andrea at the Fez last night. She is angelic, and her boy is princely. They were helping celebrate a friend's birthday - a tall, lovely girl with a beautiful and difficult-to-remember name. I won't forget her smile though. She was glowing.
The boy bought himself and me each a shot of Hornitos - something he does not drink. He almost enjoyed it, though, and chuckled when it led to my occasional stumbles while dancing too excitedly to some silly/awesome new wave song. Tequila always makes me warm and fuzzy and giggly. I love that drink.
When Journey played, the boy couldn't help but notice that "sister midnight" (an exceptionally gothed-out girl) was unhappy. "Steve Perry knows more anxst than you could ever dream!" he crooned into the air. So cute.
