Been collecting zombie fairy pictures from friends and photographers at the Portland Zombie Walk Sunday. I don't remember ever seeing more cameras in one place before. Insanity.

Here are some favorites of moi:

This one is by SaylaMarz on flickr - I'll get her contact info shortly so I can cite her properly. She deserves it because she is amaaaaaazing. srsly.

This and the one below were taken by [livejournal.com profile] punmasta - thanks for the images! I'm beside myself with glee.

I like this one because you can see the finger I tied to the bloodied flowers, hehe. (Also who's that dude in the back? He's funny.)

This is Zach, a Backspace barista and dollface and taker of the following pictures:

This is my roommate Skot and his girlfriend Jordan, as dead FBI agents. (Zach took this too.) Skot made fancy name tags and everything. Told people "FBI - we need to confiscate your brains," ha! So cute.

(PS: Sorry [livejournal.com profile] woolly_socks if this contributes to your zombie nightmares! :/ I have those too but they are usually movie-style ones like Resident Evil, and have never included fairies or FBI agents so hopefully you are safe. Loves.)

Yay thanks! Yeah I thought those captured the most zombie-fairy essence, too. But I like all of them for different reasons. Also I'm just vain and like pictures of myself in costume, hee!

I did not comment on the last Zombie Fae pics but I thought they as these are, are amazing my friend. You doth rocketh ve verily!!

It gives me an idea for a non erotic fantasy tale as well.

The concept of a world where the Fae have died out and through old magic, someone resurrects the corpse of The Fae Queen that was perserved in her tomb. The inherient magical nature of the Fae interacts with the dark magic and she comes back as a twisted and dark creature that needs to feed off magic. As the Fae are dead, the only ones in the world with magic are mages and those who have magic in their bloodline due to race intermingling between humans and Fae. Even the Elves have died out. All those she feeds off become magic craving ghouls loyal to her and she begins The Dead Court and sends them out into the world to hunt down the last Mages and then all with even the slightest trace of magic. It can be from the perspective of someone who due to an ancestor making a deal with the Fae has innate but for the most part, inactive, passive magical talents, like the ability to find lost objects, a 'bump of trouble' that warns her of danger and a 'bump of direction' that makes it so she cannot become lost. When she is attacked by a ghoul, her power kicks in fully and she finds she can produce spell like effects without having to say magical words and incantations and even though she did not become a ghoul as the power fried the ghoul before it could drain and change her fully, she now can sense those with even a little magic and even magical weapons. The Dark Fae Queen can feel her and wants her due to the fact she is now the most powerful magical being and the girl knows this and seeks out those with magic to form an army and troves of old but still powerful magical weapons. She finds she has the ability to heighten whatever ability a person has with her own power.

Big epic style of tale and I just came up with all of that here and now!!

You are indeed a Muse my friend.

Let me know what you think about being in a non erotic epic tale. You would be the young Lady not the Dark Queen though.

That is wonderful! I love it so much! It's so creative and I'm certain no one has done anything quite like it before. How fun! I would love to read anything you develop around this concept - it's really great! *big faery hugs!*

Yay for fae hugs!!!

I will put together the overview mail as soon as I can with all the adult and non adult ones you have inspired.

This new idea has the potential to be a large longform one. I am always glad when I get ideas for longer works though they are more work, lol.

thankye for all of your enthusiasm and kind words. Ya made the troll blush. Not an easy task.

big troll hug back.

That first photo is incredible. Who took that one?

That is a good question! I found her on flickr but need to message her to get her name and stuff. I'll post when I find out! :)

I'm so glad you asked because she left me a note on flickr saying she'd email me a full size one in color and I totally would have missed it if I hadn't gone back to look.

Hee! No, these won't contribute to my nightmares. If I went along to the zombie walk, now THAT would give me nightmares! And possibly a nervous breakdown.

No, what's giving me nightmares lately was my (possibly unwise) decision to watch 28 Days Later.

See I haven't watched those movies yet. I think after my Resident Evil dreams I'm sorta done with scary zombie flicks. I still like the walk though! Grrr argh. ;)

I don't know if I told you, my ex was a total zombie-nut. He used to make me watch the ones that he said were the best, so I've actually seen far more zombie movies than a person who is terrified of zombies should.

OK, he didn't make me exactly. He didn't tie me down and pin my eyelids open or anything. He talked me into it. So I saw 28 Days Later, and aside from nearly peeing my pants I thought it was a work of genius. I had to watch the sequel, nightmares be damned.
