Breaking the Age Code
Aug. 15th, 2022 11:10 pmThis book I'm reading, Breaking the Age Code, is extremely valuable and I'm so surprised I haven't come across a robust account of this sort of information before. My rage over the way the elderly and those in care homes were treated during pandemic, and how abysmal their health outcomes were compared to the rest of the population, was rarely picked up on in the media, I think I only heard a couple of pieces reporting on these ghastly statistics, but this book sugarcoats nothing and puts Ageism and all of its toxic repercussions in clear view. Everyone can benefit from this information. I already feel so much better, and I'm just barely starting to retrain my misconceptions and judgements around aging. I've been in so much pain over this issue and I'm excited to find another way to experience this period of my life. I hope that I can finally eventually free myself of the tethers of feeling like I need to look a certain way in order to be of any value.
Excited to put more time and energy into enriching my soul and my spirit and not so much my skin and hair and face, if that makes any sense. Though that stuff can still be cared for, too. But what's inside is more important.
