Storm now moving onshore along the southwest Oregon coast. Futurecast (salmon color) shows steady freezing rain at 4:00 pm. Icing likely to get bad, making travel extremely difficult. If you open the images of this post, you can see Salem warms to 41 degrees at 1:00 a.m. tonight, ending the ice storm. At 7:00 Wednesday morning, Portland still freezing with continued freezing rain and icing. Remember, areas east of I-205 may continue to see freezing rain well into the day tomorrow, before the east winds finally calm, allowing warming temperatures and good old fashioned rain.

Avalanche

I had a really, really rough therapy sesh.

Still crying, off and on.

Just too much trauma to process, rn. And the storm is kinda triggering a lot of anxiety.

I was worried about the kitten, because 8am is usually our chase-the-feather time, to get out her zoomies. But she stayed on my lap purring hard the whole time I was crying. (She was nearby before I started crying, mewing here and there but not being at all a pest.)

I feel very honored to be so loved by this cat already. She is very special.

She slept with me all night, she likes to stay curled up next to me, for the most part.

Done with all of my scheduling.

One order to get out, then I can run to the post office and pharmacy before the ice hits.
