I miss my mom. my dad. my skating coach, Delores. my skate sharpener, Jack. Madoc. Kara. Dan. Dave. Leone. Mario. Klutcho. Jim. I've lost a couple of hair sparkle customers at this point, Barbara's theater friend Judy, who was so funny. Willow's friend Brenda. (Another Brenda, who I'm closer to, has a terminal lung disease and has two years or so to live, according to her doctor. I cherish our time together.)

Some days, those who've died are all I can think about.
