connection

[serafaery]

thought i might try a sticky welcome thingie. i'm serafaery, a faery living in Portland, catless catlover, child free, lover of nature, gentleness, and the moon. i'm in my 40s. into circus aerial, dance, and figure skating when such things are available. hiking and beginning mushroom hunting and lots and lots of vegan cooking/baking. my work was faery hair sparkles when i could work, i still sell sparkles online and have videos to teach others how to sparkle.

mostly i vent about messy emotions in extremely personal ways and no one reads it, it's just a place to process through typing, which is how i process best. but i miss authentic connections like the kind we used to have on lj, so i'd like at some point to morph this into something more outward facing, or perhaps start another journal that could do so. i dunno, just some thoughts on this day full of cramps and smoky air.

It's unfortunate that community activity never picked up enough here to be anything like LJ used to be. It makes it hard to find people with similar interests if you weren't already friends on LJ and both moved. (I mean there is always an interest search, but it's not really the same as finding someone because you both engaged in a neat conversation in a comment thread or something.)
