tiny worries that consume

one problem with my new daily/every other day sweeping habit is that all the lil baby house spiders that i had left to their own little habitats are getting swept away. i feel terrible about this, i don't know how not to. it's accidental, they're just suddenly getting caught in the broom and then it's all over. sometimes they escape and i wait and watch them scuttle back to the corners. i had a nightmare about a spider with a broken leg last night. it is not my first nightmare of this kind.
