mushroom hunting

serafaeryone random funny thing i realized after years of mushroom hunting is that morels don't taste good at all. they are totally not good lol. but it's so hard to find them that it seems like they taste good.
this came to mind when i saw a post where someone suggested that they are good "fried in butter." ANYTHING is good fried in butter. "fried in butter" is how you save stale or bland or otherwise just crappy food. (that is how most people eating the Standard American Diet get their vegetables that would otherwise be unpalatable.) that is basically a way of saying "that is garbage but you can make it taste like not garbage." lolololol
