random gratitude

we have a chronically slow sink drain in our bathroom in this apartment, but the good thing about this is that since the maintenance guy needs to come in and clear it every couple of months, it makes me clean up the entire kitty litter setup at the same time (since the kitty litter lives under the sink). And then I wipe down the sink after and it's all shiny and looks new.

So far in this apartment i'm becoming a halfway decent housekeeper. it's not that i'm not good at it, it's just not something I want to spend any time and energy on. but here it's just easier? I sweep the floors weekly without too much struggle, and the bathroom and kitchen get a lot more tlc. maybe because there is more floor space, i move all the furniture when i sweep now, so there isn't so much dust collecting in hidden corners and under things. it's nice.

Haha,we do the same kinds of cleaning things when someone is coming over. We call it "adulting"...when they're gone we turn back into kids.
