Oh also, the topper on this day that makes me think Tuesdays should just not be sparkle days: a customer texts me saying she needs to cancel last minute and she's so sorry but an unforeseen circumstance arose, and asks "how to remit the cancellation fee."

I paused, and realized, I didn't know if she meant how to avoid payment or how to make payment?

So I looked it up and found....

Dictionary
Definitions from Oxford Languages

re·mit:

verb
/rəˈmit/
1. cancel or refrain from exacting or inflicting (a debt or punishment).
"the excess of the sentence over 12 months was remitted"
Similar: cancel, set aside, revoke, repeal, rescind, abrogate, suspend

2. send (money) in payment or as a gift.
"the income they remitted to their families"

Now I'm just more confused lol.

She means the second. Assuming you even have a cancellation fee, she's asking how to send it to you.
