serafaerymeant to mention that i ended up wearing my best rock show outfit that i could come up with on the fly for my brother's party: jeans and my star shirt with demonia boots, a 90s style hoodie, collar to match the books (metallic rainbow heart clasp in front), silver sparkle earrings, a glow in the dark star faery necklace, and purple LEDs. hair down, silver eyeshadow.
there was a nice turnout, i'd say maybe 30 folks for Friday night (there will probably be more tonight but I'm not going, too much work to do here), but everyone just sat and watched the show for the most part, even though the band looked and sounded really great. there were a handful of people at the stage now and then. granted, it was a really long set, but i mean, my brother is pushing 60 and so are most of his friends, and my ageism book is making me really aware of how people just give up and slow down when they get older in our culture.
anyway, when they said they had three more songs, and started to play Kashmir, i went up and started dancing with the three people who were standing up there.
a couple of minutes later I felt a presence behind me, and casually looked over my shoulder to see what it was.
There were about 20 people standing behind us, dancing and swaying.
