Every day is a new terrifying thing.

I try to not talk about politics, but it's really hard right now. A lot of this stuff is effecting my life directly, and the lives of people I love. Two things that are weighing heavily for me.
1) The idea that the gesture was "just a wave" is dangerous denialism imho. Look at historical beginnings of fascism.
2) About this whole "can we just get through the next four years" rhetoric I keep hearing. This guy told us point blank multiple times that we will "never have to vote again." Do you think he didn't mean it? I know it's a terrifying thought that this is not temporary, but maybe it will trigger more alarm and action than just trying to hide until the next election that is very possibly never coming.
I guess the first course of action is to call our representatives. I am not an activist so if there are other meaningful actions we can take right now, aside from helping one another, I'm all ears.
