Really wanted to sit and journal before circus this morning but it's already ten, it's time to go and I'm not dressed. Which makes me think maybe I should just wait and do the noon slot, I think I will. But I really like Melissa, the 10am host, so I might try to go early and just hang out before the noon session starts? I don't mind paying for both honestly, maybe I will just do half of the first and most of the second, today. I could use the extra time for PT. I was all motivated to do it every day and I have done my PT exactly three times in like, how many weeks?

I am also still struggling to brush and floss and I have another teeth cleaning in a week, how has it been six months already?! oops. Will try to start flossing today in anticipation of this, if I can get it going for a week it's less painful when I am there. sigh.

I lost all of last night to a migraine, due to dancing on Sunday night, but no regrets, it was totally worth it, I had the best time.

Josh's flight got delayed and no nap or food would touch my head, so I ended up curling up on the couch watching On Stranger Tides (the fourth pirates movie - it was worse than I remembered lol, I wish they'd spent more time with them but I still liked the feisty mermaids and Johnny Depp has my heart forever sorry not sorry, goth girl gen-xers understand) and Jim Gaffigan's new special The Skinny (he's on Mounjoro and it's just hilarious, I love him so much, he's maybe my favorite).

Okay so my head still hurts but I need to work and also do silks and the apartment needs love before Josh gets here. A list of things I'd like to get done in a loose priority:



10:30-11:30pm: scheduling/open appts/classes social media posts, etc.
12pm-2pm: silks/physical therapy
2-3pm: groceries, cat supplies, lunch
3-4pm: tackle the kitchen (wash all dishes, clean all surfaces, wipe out and organize fridge, take out trash and recycling, organize kitty cabinet to make space for Natasha's stuff, set up new separated cat feeding areas - Avi can eat on my bedroom shelf, I'll feed her dinner there tonight just to introduce the concept)
4-5pm: bleach out sinks and tub, replace shower curtain liner, wash bathmat, wash out bathroom trash bin and litter scooper, clean dining room table and desk and cat shelf areas
5-6pm: wash bedding for futon, quick sweep again (Avalanche has been shedding like crazy in the heat), mop, set up cat hidey places under couch and futon, clean couch
6-7pm: dinner, get Josh from airport (bring steak bites?)
7:30-8:30pm: take Josh to view house
later if energy: cook food for the coming days for Josh and Natasha, hopefully I'll get some nice prepped food to ease the burden of this somewhat, I have a coupon for a fancy store :)

If that all doesn't get done that's fine, I just needed to look at my goals. I've gotten a ton done already, the floors are swept and laundry is done, I cleaned out some big messes around the apartment. I will put my bike in the garage to give the cats more space for a couple days, it'll be fine.

It is so nice to not feel depressed! Here is a joyful photo that our circus gym posted on their socials recently, Josh and I were there when a photographer was capturing images, I love seeing him looking so comfy on silks!


How lucky am I to have a husband who will play on aerial equipment with me. I love him so much.

Sunday night dancing, I felt like myself for the first time since before my birthday in May, it's been several months since I felt this good. I'm not sure what the shift is but I am grateful. I think it is largely hormonal, since my periods are acting "normal" at the moment - as if I were not in perimenopause - they are a normal length apart and normal duration and normal heaviness and not too much cramping, but I wonder what I've been doing that has helped this. Is it my diet? Activity? Mental state? Herbal tinctures? Actually getting sufficient amounts of sunlight on my skin? Bonding time with Tyler and Cynthia? All of the above?

Putting these photos mostly behind a cut just because of the sort of clothing I wear when I go out, in hot weather, it's not much lol. Avalanche makes two appearances!

K off to get some work done and then go do some PT/silks. I hope my headache clears, maybe the coffee will help.

I felt healthy and happy for age 50 Sunday night. But my back paid for it a little the next day. I need to be more careful with the way I dance, it's hard when the music is so good! Derek played ALL my favorite stuff, it was so fun. The visitors seemed to like it too. Especially Burn by Sister Machinegun and Close by Boyz Noize, things I know he plays only for me. He played some old TKK also and some other monstery type stuff, I loved everything. Dancing as a lil demon is my favorite. I will always find this so soothing, it quiets the inner war inside.
