serafaeryPreston pointed out to me the other day that if Back to the Future were set in the present-day and released this year, the Michael J. Fox character would have gone back 30 years, to the year 1980.
Instead of Coke in funny glass bottles and poodle skirts, kids today would see their hero dealing with no internet or cell phones and high cut jeans and The Empire Strikes Back and The Love Boat and Reagan's election and um, the Cold War?
