I've never seen the sky more blue, and I can't help thinking, "This might be the last hot weekend of the summer; I've got to get out there!" So, time to get up, take some cold medicine, find some clothes, shower for the first time in several days (ew), and pretend to be well and enjoy this last bit of shimmering warmth, before the magic of autumn settles in my soul and I am caught up in her colors and Halloween costumes and dark spirits flying through the night.

Summer is still here! I want to revel in her as long as possible.

The boys brought over a gifted grill and patio set. (Oh snap, we even have a patio!) Party, anyone?

Edit: Oh damn I almost died in the shower. I think I'm getting ahead of myself, heh. Breathe, sera. Relax.

Hope you got out and enjoyed the sunshine today! I've had a cold for 10 days now (didn't even get one last winter!), and I'm with you - hacking cough. It's in my chest more now, but still. I spent the day outside 'cause I didn't want to not enjoy this last bit of summer we're having!

Was in PDX (Sellwood) for a few hours on Wednesday and thought of you. :D Maybe next time we can meet for drinks. :D

I have tried to enjoy the sunshine as best I can, though I realized today I still haven't been in a swimsuit once this summer - ack! (I did swim in a heated pool in January though, so that must count for something.)

Drinks sometime would be great! :) I still don't have a car so logistics can be tricky, but usually I can make things work.
