sense8 (spoilers)
Nov. 14th, 2021 07:41 pmExperiencing this pang of guilt and shame over watching the final episode of the first season of Sense8 without Finley. He left us on such a cliffhanger for the second-to-last episode that I couldn't help myself, oops. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooo sad about Wil seeing Whispers but what can you do. There was no avoiding it, there was nothing he could have done. Jonas is pretty good at resisting him, maybe Wil can do the same, erf. Although I don't think Jonas is going to survive, mrf. sigh.
Are Yrsa and Jonas from the same cluster, or a different one? Why does she hate him? Can that happen inside a cluster?
Why do I know no one else who has watched this series. It is impossibly precious. The delights and sensations and beauty of all kinds are intricate and delicate and beautiful and wonderful and overwhelming and subtle all at the same time, I've never seen anything like it. Every detail is paid attention to with such care. The way sex is portrayed in this series is downright healing. It is cast in such a positive light, as something beautiful, sacred, transcendent, bonding, playful, joyous, or just a really fun romp.
How did I get so incredibly fortunate as to be able to watch tv shows on a comfy couch in a cozy apartment on a magical glowing screen, it's difficult to comprehend. I could be a refugee with nothing but the clothes on my back, dying in a muddy tent in a squalid camp somewhere. I could be starving, I could have cancer or be working 16 hour days for basically no pay, but no, I am here in all this comfort and luxury, with a cat and loving friends and family, all the food and shelter and love I could ever ask for, plus all this brilliant entertainment. I am so sad that life is so fleeting, that it is so short and we are immediately forgotten as soon as we are ash, but I am so grateful for every moment of this existence, however painful it can be sometimes.
